A Taste of Honey, the band behind the jam Boogie Oogie Oogie was fronted by two female vocalists Janice Marie Johnson and Carlita Dorhan. That's the first part, the SECOND part is that they played the bass and electric guitar too! Hazel Payne would take Carlita's place in 1976 just two years before Boogie Oogie Oogie would hit #1 on the Hott 100 in 1978. I think I'm so geeked because I've always loved that one rip on this track since I could remember. : D

Beyonce's lead guitarist kinda looks like Hazel doesn't she?
